The Home of Yeung Kong - 記念楊江和荷蘭朋友陳耐持的同行歲月

十多年前，朋友告訴我們，有位身在荷蘭的傳媒朋友，想開設每周一節的香港新聞回顧，問楊江可否幫忙，我們因而認識了這位遠在荷蘭的陳耐持，當時她任職某公營電台，因製作費用緊拙，不知如何是好。楊江得悉後義不容辭，著她不用担心，有沒有酬金他都樂意効力，如是者，由九一年開始，一直至九七年我們離港赴紐西蘭唸書為止，每星期五下午，楊江和耐持總會透過長途電話，將一周香港大事傳給荷蘭以至歐洲的聽眾。

九三年我和楊江往歐洲自由行，順道探望耐持一家人，得到她和丈夫Niek和一對子女的熱情款待，重看當天（8月２８日星期六）楊江親筆記錄的扎記，情景依然歷歷在目！

因近年我們與耐持疏於聯絡而失散了，感謝陳耀華將我們聯繫上。

耐持原來已退休去，從事心愛的藝術工作，還選了一件作品寄來給我，為我打氣。

Dear Vivian,

Chan Yiu Wah has just told me via e mail that Yeung Chi Kong has passed away, I was shocked about the news. Feeling sad, angry and powerless. I read everything in the website and I understood it was cancer who killed him. I was deeply impressed by his courage to cope with the illness in the past year and how he fought with the death which was to come.

I want to tell you that not only me is missing him deeply, I am sure the Chinese community in Holland is missing him very much too. I remember when we for the first time recieve the weekly news summery from Hong Kong reported by Yeung Kong in 1991, I was so happy, the link to Hong Kong was just like the link to home again, it was so warm to hear the perfect Cantonese Yeung Kong spoke, and to hear his analysis about the development in Hong Kong and the relation with mainland China. All the audience I met shared my experience. From then on, till 1997, Yeung Kong had direct contact with us in Holland once every week, audience all over the country listened every time breathless to hear every word he said. We had received also letters from England, Belgium, France, and Germany with compliments. He was a very important friend to us all those years. I miss him, we miss him, he was and is an important friend to us, we will never forget him, just want to tell you.

親愛的惠儀：

陳耀華剛電郵告訴我關於楊子江離世的消息，我非常震驚，既悲且怒但又無能為力。閱畢楊江網頁，明瞭是癌魔奪命，然而去年楊江治病期間以至臨死不懼的勇氣深深感動了我。

要告訴妳，不只是我一個人捨不得他，我肯定荷蘭的華人也十分想他。還記得楊江九一年首次為我們播報香港一周要聞，我多麼高興，與香港連繫上，就感覺與自己的家再互通了，而且楊江說的一口地地道道的廣東話，以及分析香港的發展及與內地的關係，讓人聽了多麼的温暖。所有我踫到的聽眾也有同感。從那時起直至九七年，楊江每周都總與荷蘭直接聯繫，全國聽眾每次都會屏息靜氣細聽他的一言一語。我們更收到來自英國、比利時、法國和德國的感謝信。多年來，他一直是我們一位非常重要的朋友。我掛念他，我們都念記著他，他至今仍是我們一位重要的朋友，我們永遠也不會忘記他，這就是我想告訴妳的。
